Miss Betty, a mid-20's woman who sings in a jazz duo with her boyfriend (sometimes ex-boyfriend), Zeke. She plays as a femme fatale in our story. She was goth in middle school, emo in high school, hipster in college, and femme fatale was her next step to finding herself. She seems to carry herself with a lot of poise, but in reality she has crippling self doubt. She and Zeke are a match made in heaven.

Zeke "Zeke Spade" Spadul, a loser, the son of Walt Spadul, the proprietor of La Fleur du Chapiteau. He plays in a jazz duo with his girlfriend, sometimes ex-girlfriend, Miss Betty. He struggles to manage his loneliness and hopeless outlook on life with a sugar addiction.
